Antares offers consultancies which embrace a broad spectrum of needs. We are specialised in assessments, evaluations and organisational advice humanitarian and overseas development agencies. We have a wide range of qualified experts, which enables us to offer support and advice at management level on staff care and project management. This support and advice can cover management systems, HRM systems, psycho social support systems or any particular issues related to project management. Usually, assessments of programs are combined with workshops or management support missions.
Our assessments deliver relevant, practical recommendations and action plans tailor-made for the contracting organisation. The content of our consultancy work is completely confidential. In the last two years, the Antares Foundation has carried out consultancies in Uganda, Sudan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Turkey, Kosovo and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Our consultancy work can be provided in a number of different ways:
Support missions for national and international NGOs are offered and constructed in many different ways.
For national NGOs Antares usually combines assessment with workshops, and designs support systems and training trajectories on request. Antares also facilitates the creation of project definitions for funding proposals, and explores funding possibilities in conjunction with NGOs.For international NGOs support missions can be carried out in the field, and Management and HRM departments at headquarters level can also be supported in building up staff care systems for both headquarters and field staff.
Antares is also able to offer project evaluation, which identifies management and staff care issues. We then offer advice and support on how to proceed in addressing them.
The Antares Foundation has a group of mental health specialists with field support experience and knowledge related to mental health programmes. They combine management assessment skills and psycho social/mental health knowledge, thus dealing with management and content at the same time. Antares believes that evaluations exist to support organizations in improving their missions; therefore it combines evaluations with specific support and education if possible. Antares has carried out mental health project evaluations in Georgia, Bosnia and Kosovo, and continues to have contact with partner organisations in these countries.
An Intercollegial Consultation system is a system in which groups of colleagues meet on an equal level to discuss work related problems and stressors, and to offer one another support and assistance. This system is extremely flexible and can be applied and adapted to almost any organisation, no matter its size, mission, or cultural context. Once put in place, it is self sustaining. The Antares Foundation has significant experience is installing this system, and has implemented it with NGOs in Georgia, Kosovo, the Netherlands, Uganda and Tanzania. Please contact the Antares Foundation for information about how we may be of assistance to your organisation in installing an Intercollegial Consultation system for you and your colleagues.
