On Wednesday 13th May, a large group of our associates, donors and friends joined us for a day long meeting. The meeting was chaired by Alastair Ager, and we enjoyed presentations about the development of Antares itself from our chairmen, past and present, and on the development of Antares projects and research. The directors of three organisations currently working with Antares, Kiwakkuki, KRCT and the Dutch Red Cross shared their case studies with us.
The Antares Foundation Multidisciplinary Working Group met three times during the course of 2008: January 17-18th in New York, April 23rd – 25th in New York and May 17th in Colorado. The research group also met in April in New York. Both groups met by invitation only. During these meetings, attention focussed on the further development of Antares materials. The Risk Reduction Document, available to download from our web site (link) was one of the products of these meetings, along with other documents still in development. These materials will be available by the end of 2009.
The Multidisciplinary Working Group focussed upon the development staff support programmes and the connected training methods and materials.
