Training & Support

The Antares Foundation assists organizations and relevant institutes in developing systems for better staff care. We build capacity within the organisations themselves, through briefing, training and support to management and staff.

We provide training and support in many different ways, depending on the needs and context.

Stress management trainings can be given at an individual level. These sessions provide information on recognising and managing the different kinds of stress, and consider specific stressors within the individual's situation. Positive and negative coping strategies are also explored. Group sessions can be given for small groups of 4 to 6 participants, or for larger groups of up to 22 participants. Our trainings can be offered at the Antares Headquarters in Diemen, or, in the case of group trainings, at the offices of the clients. We also offer regional workshops worldwide. Please contact the Antares Foundation for more information.

Trainings and briefings are offered in Dutch, English and French. (Trainings in other languages can be offered as well, as our trainers and consultants are used to working with interpreters).Copies of the Antares flyer, outlining our mission and our working methods are available on request from the Antares office.

Group training sessions

Our new sessions will allow NGOs to send their staff members to join a group training on stress management in order to prepare staff going to the field on a long term assignment. The group will consist of other NGO office and field staff.

The training sessions fall under a code of conduct regarding confidentiality. This means no information about the content of the sessions will go out to your organisation or third parties without your consent.

A training session will run for a half day (3 - 4 hours). The following subjects will be addressed:
